Dentures & Partial Dentures: Trusted and Reliable Tooth Replacement

Hands holding a full denture prostheticMissing teeth can be a burden in so many different ways. In addition to making it harder for you to speak, eat, and smile, they can also make you much more vulnerable to developing tooth decay and gum disease (which can lead to even more tooth loss!). Fortunately, Dr. Flex and Dr. Hodge can offer you a solution that has proven itself for hundreds of years and is only getting better with time: dentures

How Partial and Full Dentures Work

If you are missing teeth throughout your mouth, partial dentures can be used to easily replace them. They’ll basically fit among your remaining teeth like the missing piece of a puzzle, and they are typically held in place using small metal clasps.

However, if you need to replace an entire row of missing teeth, a set of full dentures can do the trick. They will fit directly onto your gums, and they are typically held in place using natural suction and denture adhesive.

Also, to achieve a more secure hold, both kinds of dentures can be held in place using dental implants. Implant-retained dentures look just like traditional ones, but they have a number of additional long term health benefits that you can read about right here.
